Carmichael SDA Church Bulletin

Last week, I gave the welcome during our worship service and mentioned how long Carmichael has been on the corner of Pasadena and Winding Way. Well, it turns out I miscalculated! I said we’ve been here 65 years, but Carmichael actually opened its doors on December 25, 1965—which means this year marks our 60th anniversary!

Besides that fun correction—and my rather generous 3½-minute welcome—this Sabbath I’ll be back on the pulpit to begin a new three-part series on the prophet Jonah. We’ll explore some surprising insights, like Jonah’s importance in Islam and how God sent him to preach to those who would later become Israel’s enemies. There’s more to Jonah’s story than a big fish—it’s a story of mercy, mission, and God’s unexpected grace.
