Carmichael SDA Church Bulletin
If you have a student you are back into the groove of school. The beginning of a school year is always an exciting time full of lots of emotions. I know students who are nervous about coming to a new school this year, some students are worried about hard classes. There are students that are looking for new friendships. I know I saw some parents of Kindergarteners full of emotion as the dropped their first child off at school and there were some parents of seniors who were also filled with emotion as they look at this last year of High School. Life is full of emotions.
But what about when it isn't? What happens when you're just not feeling it? Is that ok too?
Faith is also often emotional. People talk all the time about feeling the presence of God, but what about when you don't? Are you still ok? Are you a bad person? For the past month I've been considering the times when we just don't feel it and have been looking through the bible studying people who didn't always feel close to God. It's pretty crazy when you think about it that those stories also make it into the Bible. If you've ever felt that way I hope you tune in this Sabbath!
